Did God have a purpose or goal in creating the universe?

The goal will exist when a person does not have something and try to achieve it. The source of the goal is poverty meaning you do not have something and want to achieve it. Does God have a purpose or goal? No, because God is rich, needless, and limitless. Poverty is a limit and a deficiency. The limit arises when we do not have something. God is absolute perfection with no limit. He is “Samad[1], meaning, He is needless, He is complete and there is no emptiness for him. There is not any perfection that does not belong to God. He is eternal, “He is the First and the Last, and the Outer and the Inner, and He has knowledge of all things[2] (Al-Hadid:3).

A Persian poem says,

“I did not create to make a profit but created to bounty my servants”.

The generosity to others is not a flaw. It is ultimate perfection. We, humans, have a goal in everything we do because of the poverty we have. Everyone does everything for the goals that they have and want to achieve. God created things not out of necessity. The limit is where the perfection ends and the lack begins. There are no inexistence things for God meaning, there is no perfection that we can say God does not have.
