What is the Meaning and Truth of Praise?

When we praise people, we demonstrate their good attributes and perfections by our sentences and actions. With this consideration, what is the truth and meaning of God’s praise?

The truth of praise is the manifestation of God’s perfections and attributes in immaterial and material worlds. God’s Names and attributes appear in the immaterial and material world and cause the appearance or existence of the world. Here, God is praising Himself, the existential praise. Meaning, God shows His perfections and attributes (Names) by giving things their existence. In other words, creatures are in fact praise of God.

Every creature, as much as its capacity, is the manifestation of God’s praise. Every creature, whether it is the manifestation of beauty Names of God ((اسماءالجمالor the manifestation of glory Names of God (اسماء الجلال), whether material or immaterial, believer or infidel, the visible or invisible, is the manifestation of the praise of God Almighty. So, creatures are divine praise, not that they are praising God (creatures’ praise occurs in the next level). As soon as a being has been honored to be existed by the God Almighty, as much as it shows the perfection of existence, it is God’s praise, whether they know this truth or not. The mystic intuitions this truth, reaches a level where he sees creatures in all worlds (material or immaterial) as praise of God. In fact, he drowns in God’s praise.

The greatest praise of God is the truth of the perfect man, who is the inner of Prophet Muhammad (S). Prophet Muhammad’s (S) name in the Hereafter and in worldly life are “Ahmad” and “Muhammad” (peace be upon him and his Ahl Al-Bayt) respectively. Both names are extracted from “Hamd -الْحَمْد” meaning Praise. On the Day of Resurrection, Prophet Muhammad’s banner is the banner of praise. In summary, the inner of Prophet Muhammad (S) is the first manifestation of God that everything is recorded and enumerated there. “All things We have recorded with numbers in Imam Mubin (a Clear Book)” (Ya-Sin:12).

Praise of God initiated with His first manifestation which is the inner of Prophet Muhammad (S) and is descending to all the immaterial and material creatures in different levels of existence moment by moment. We have two levels of Parise. In the highest level, God is the praiser of Himself, by giving existence to the creatures and manifesting His Perfections and attributes, and in the lower level, creatures or manifestations praise God.

In conclusion, “All praise is for God”. “الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ

What is the greatest praise that God has done for himself in the holy Quran?

بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ

قُلْ هُوَ اللَّهُ أَحَدٌ-‏اللَّهُ الصَّمَدُ-لَمْ يَلِدْ وَلَمْ يُولَدْ-‏وَلَمْ يَكُن لَّهُ كُفُوًا أَحَدٌ ‎

In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful. Say, “He is Allah, [who is] One, (1) Allah, the Eternal Refuge. (2) He neither begets nor is born, (3) Nor is there to Him any equivalent.”” (Surah Ikhlas).

All praise is to God to the extent that He deserves it.
