Folding up of the Earth – Thaumaturgical Teleportation

“Thaumaturgical Teleportation (Folding up of the earth or covering long distances in the twinkling of an eye)”
Thaumaturgical Teleportation(Tayy Al-Arz) means to travel very long distances in a very short time, and this is a kind of miracle.
There are many documents about this subject in the hadiths, and some Islamic mystics have mentioned this a lot in their books. In the Holy Quran, which is the main source for the hadiths, different kind of thaumaturgical teleportation is mentioned as follow:
1- “To Solomon the morning course of the wind was a month’s journey, and its evening course was also a month’s journey”(Saba-12). So, in one day it travels for two months.
2- “An efreet (an extremely strong jinn) among the jinn replied: ‘I will bring it to you before you rise from your place; I have the strength and am trustworthy’”. It is faster than the first option. Solomon (AS) told his ministers who could bring the throne of Bilqis (Queen of Sheba) to me before she came here, a demon from the jinn said, before you get up from where you judge, I will bring it. This is why some Islamic mystics have said that some types of teleportation are done by Jinn, so if someone has this dignity, he cannot be considered as one of the saints and guardian of God, which may be done by Jinn.
3- “But he who had some knowledge from the Book, said: ‘I will bring it to you before your glance comes back to you’”. This movement that goes beyond this is that it should be done in the blink of an eye. This is the highest type of traveling long distances on earth whose owner will be present in the blink of an eye wherever he wants.
Of course, it should be noted that traveling long distance in a short time is different from being able to travel with another object in short period of time. The latter is stronger than the former.
This was a brief summary of traveling on earth in the Holy Quran in short period of time but traveling in the sky (ascension) is another subject which is much more advanced. And God says the truth and He guides the way.
